Special Education Teacher for Early Intervention
We are in need of ABA & SI Special Education Teachers for The Early Intervention Program (EIP), a public program for children under the age of three who have or are suspected of having a developmental delay or disability. EIP is funded by New York State and county governments and requires an NYS certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (Birth-Grade 2).

Cases that require Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) typically have more hours than the Special Instruction (SI) cases. We provide free flexible online training courses to SI providers interested in ABA training.

Why Shema Kolainu – Hear Our Voices?
We are market leaders that have been servicing children with autism in our center-based program since 1998. As an early entrant, we accumulated lots of experience and knowledge that we are happy to share in the form of training, webinars, and workshops. Best of all, most workshops are free thanks to New York City Council Autism Initiative. In other words, you are backed by a strong and knowledgeable team.

The palpable love and deep affection for every child in our center are immediately felt by all that walk through the doors of our school building. The happy environment is the secret behind our amazing success. We seek a therapist that can channel that love to children in our home-based network.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Services
For over 20 years, our center-based program has provided children on the autism spectrum with ABA services. We have trained hundreds of therapists to effectively use the popular method to achieve goals. We encourage all special educators to take advantage of our free services and sign up today.

Per Diem Cases & Hours
Children from birth to age 3 diagnosed with autism typically require a minimum of 10 hours a week of services. Depending on the severity, children lower down on the spectrum can be approved for 20 hours a week. In other words, cases typically range between 10-20 hours a week. Depending on the provider's availability and location of the cases, we can staff therapists up to 40 hours a week.

Areas our agency provides service
Our agency services all five boroughs of New York City. With a higher concentration in South Bronx & Upper Manhattan.
We encourage you to apply even if you are located in an area not listed above. Since, we also get requests, referrals and can reach out to DOH for cases in your area of interest.

The Early Intervention Program
The NYC Department of Health (DOH) provides funding to help young children (birth-3 years) with developmental delays in learning, playing, talking, and/or walking to get the care they need. The idea is that the earlier a child enters the program, the sooner they can learn the skills they need. Children in this program are typically served in their own homes, daycare centers, or family daycare homes. We expect you to have DOH knowledge when you apply for this position.
